Once upon a time...

Once upon a time a lady had a pretty pink Dell. She loved that computer. It was pink after all...

One day the pink Dell stopped working. The screen went black and was no longer a helpful tool. A nice man gave up the television in his bedroom so the computer would have a working screen. Soon, though, the computer started cutting off for no reason in the middle of very important documents and functions. And the nice lady became frustrated and was starting to feel not very nice.

The very nice man came home with this to appease the nice lady.

And while she was a little intimidated by the new machine she was very, very happy. She spent the next couple of days getting acquainted with it and began to really, really enjoy the new features and ease of use. The fact that it had a working screen and didn't cut off in the middle of work was very nice, too.

Then one day the nice lady was loading pictures on the new computer. Instead of putting the SD card into the SD card slot, she accidentally slipped it into the CD drive. Oops. The following status update was made to Facebook...
Nice Lady
there's an SD card stuck in my CD/DVD drive on the brand new computer... what's sad is that i can't blame it on a toddler... or even a teenager... just myself. nerd.
She waited for the nice man to come home and help retrieve the SD card from the wrong slot. He tried. He even had special tools that he used to dig around for the silly thing.

His tools didn't work. No shaking, poking, or other people in the kingdom could retrieve the card. So the nice man did what any self respecting man would do. He Googled.

And then he made this...

The card was retrieved in a matter of seconds.

The very nice lady was thankful. And now she LOOKS before she puts the SD card into the computer.

The End.

SuperGirl has done it again. Her student council has a team that will be participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Her team is the Mitchell Miracle Milers and they are walking in honor of the school secretary's husband. This weekend they had a carwash to raise money and you KNOW she was all over being there. She even got her dad and big sister to help out. It's so fun to see her getting involved and having a great time doing it!

RangeRette Revue was SPECTACULAR. It's the first dance production of Summer's that I have been to where I didn't know the songs or dances she was doing. It was a great surprise and joy to watch her. She has worked so so so hard the last few weeks... late nights dancing and catching up on schoolwork... hard practices... and a very sore back and muscles... it was worth it. Amazing show. So proud of you, Summer girl!!

Lady Aggies Championship Game - he went!

After watching the Lady Aggies beat Baylor and Stanford, Hubby got the itch to go to the championship game. He called the house Monday afternoon and asked if I was interested in going. Boy howdy was I interested! But the kids had a lot going on and I just couldn't find it within myself to leave town in a matter of hours and figure out how to get them to all the places they needed to go and get all the things done that they needed to get done.

My biggest concern was that Hubs wouldn't go if I said no. I told him as much and he said he was going to ask his dad to go with him. Now if you haven't met his dad, he is a HUGE Aggie fan. Taking a trip like this is not necessarily something he would do at the last minute and I know it thrilled him to death to go with his son.

My only request was that Hubby take a picture of himself and his dad at the game... and that he bring me a t-shirt. They flew in, stayed in a really nice hotel, went to yell practice at the team hotel, and arrived at the game early. The game proved to be all he hoped it would be... very exciting... lots of bad calls... and he sat across the aisle from the Notre Dame section.

Here's the pic of our guys... taken by Oren Martin! It's so fun to fun into people you know at these kinds of things!

And here's the celebration!!!

No, no picture of my t-shirt. They sold out just as they got to the front of the line. No worries... I got my own first thing the next day.

Gig 'em!

The ride home from Canton was a doozy. The bugs were so bad that it sounded like someone was throwing rocks at the car the whole drive home. One can only imagine the lovely windshield I was left with. Needless to say, a trip to the carwash was high priority after returning home!

Summer performed in the One Act Play competition with a group from her school. They did the play called "You Can't Take it with You." They have been to several critiques and competitions and tonight they performed for friends and family. It was so fun to watch her perform! Hearing her lines, in character, with the other characters was a treat since we've been hearing her lines for weeks!! Great job, Summer!! So, so proud of you!!
