In an effort to be more fun and do more stuff together as a group, our Sunday school class held a 50’s style sock hop. We had poodle skirts, slicked back hair, rolled up jeans, letter jackets, bubble gum chewing, and pony tails. The kids even got in on the fun and dressed up, too!
It was fun to see these guys wearing their letter jackets. It was more fun to see them trying to button them up. Or maybe it was the nicknames on the back of one of them. I’ll never tell. They were cute.
Our party planner arranged for TG to bring the tunes and what great tunes she had! We did the limbo, hula-hooped, and ate dinner together.
I think the ladies were pretty darn fun, too. What a surprise that two of us had poodle skirts! It was hard doing the limbo in a skirt, though. The evening was a success even with a small group. We laughed, danced, and just enjoyed being together.
